Jorge Fajardo

His career as a tenor

 

Mexican tenor Jorge Fajardo stands out for his versatility to approach from the most dramatic and demanding works, such as romantic operas, oratorios or Lied, to comical and light works such as operettas, stage musical theater, zarzuelas and other characters with comical tinges.

Actor

 

Jorge has shown a great histrionic capability as an actor, which has earned him the “Gaviota Maricela Lara” award as Actor and Tenor Revelation.

Director

 

He directed the chorus of the Instituto Cultural Alemán Goethe (Goethe German Cultural Institute) from 2016 to 2019, and the Coral Caliopus of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional Santo Tomás CENLEX (Foreign Language Teaching Center of the National Polytechnic Institute-Santo Tomás campus) from 2019 to 2020.

Professor

 

His love for teaching lead him to establish his own singing academy in 2009, where he has taught more than 80 pupils of different levels attending in person, and has also coached online various dilettantes in England, Germany, USA and Chile.

It is important to mention that a significant proportion of his pupils have entered various professional music schools in Mexico City to obtain a bahcelor’s degree in singing.

His skills in teaching have also lead him to teach singing at the Tarn Music and Dance Conservatoire in France, at UNAM Canada (National Autonomous University of Mexico, campus Canada) and at the CoralCun Festival in Mexico.
